No matter how easy your website is in its day to day use, it will always require maintenance. Not only is maintenance required to keep it from looking outdated, it is also essential for your web-security and that of others. The programs and security measures installed, which work behind the scenes, need regular (supervised) updates to keep them functioning properly.
A website is usually made up of several programs working together, and once in a while this can cause glitches. Furthermore, websites and programs are edited and maintained by humans – a true recipe for disaster. In order to keep things under control we can provide website maintenance. This maintenance usually consists of edit- and link checks, simple repairs, plugin- and core updates, installations, and other proceedings designed to keep your website running like it’s supposed to be running. We can also make regular backups of your entire website (consisting of databases, content, templates, design layout and plugins, stored at our office, or sent to you via e-mail), and check it for malware and viruses.
Every website is different. With some the monthly maintenance sessions are quite intense work, with others it’s just a simple run-through to see if anything needs attention. This is why we draw up maintenance contracts depending on the work and website type.
We generally only provide maintenance contracts for the websites that we’ve designed and built ourselves, simply because we can’t take responsibility for someone else’s work. However, we could consider taking on board websites made by other companies (or by yourself) depending on the management system, the setup, and the state of the website. Please use our contact form to find out what we can do for you.
